The DARK & the WOUNDED 2 - Coming soon

From the world renowned award winning filmmaker and artist behind the Cannes-screened short documentary, “The Dark and the Wounded” comes the next chapter — “The Dark and the Wounded 2.”

A full-length feature that goes deeper, hits harder, and refuses to look away.

In 2026, the world feels heavier. Darkness isn’t just outside us anymore — it’s in the choices we make, the silence we keep, and the wounds we carry from the past. Those wounds don’t stay buried …they bleed into our families, our streets, our world and the people we love. As hatred rises and evil tightens its grip, a quiet war is being fought between light and darkness.

The Dark and Wounded 2 is about that war. But more than that, it’s about the light we still hold inside — fragile, powerful, and imperative. It’s a call to use it, for ourselves, our children, our societies and the only world we inhabit … now, before the darkness gains a foothold that there is no coming back from.

This is the progressive next step from the short that premiered at Cannes in 2018. Bigger in scope. Rawer in truth. And more urgent than ever.

James Picard’s “The Dark and Wounded 2” — Because beyond fear, there is freedom and the light we ignore or fail to shine is the light the world so desperately needs.
